FILM MAKING PROCESS The Gant Chart below is provided as an overview of the film development and production process from inception of the screenplay (and, in this case of our model project, the soundtrack) through the distribution of and promotion of the final product. This chart is preliminary but anticipates early involvement with key contributors to the look and feel of the film. These include the Producer and Director as well as the Art Director and Production Designer. Our model project involves careful development in art direction and in our series we will pay special attention to this aspect of transforming a concept into a vision and, finally, a reality. We will explore how art directors work with cinematographers and lighting specialists to create a visual and stylistic signature for a film project, and the steps they take to manage that design through the production and post-production processes.
