COLD MOTHS

Want to hear some birds?

I have gone ahead and posted this early version of Cold Moths, a tune I wrote back in 2001, even though it has…uh, problems.

This recording was made when we were living over in Glen Cove and right outside my office/studio window – obviously not sound proofed – was this exuberant family of birds who would go crazy with chirping when they heard music. That was nice, on most levels, unless you were trying to lay down tracks.

Those nice little birdies make this and other of my demos sound like the work of a troubadour at Napa State (which, for those of you who don’t know, is an “insane asylum” ), which now that I think of it isn’t terribly far off. Still, I think this song is beautiful.

I am re-recording the vocals, hopefully minus the nature sounds, but for now click here to hear it at the present state of development:

Thanks for listening.
